I moved to Portland with my family from Shanghai, China in 2016. A good friend of mine introduced me to the tennis world in 2017. Since then, I have really enjoyed this sport. Playing tennis with friends of all skill levels brings me a lot of joy. Tennis is also a good social activity and I have made a lot of local friends through it.
I started to play the USTA mixed 7.0 double act as a 3.0 man from the beginning of 2022. By playing against different opponents, I gained much experience of how to deploy different strategies as well as learning what aspects of my game such as serve, volley, backhand to work on. My long term target is to reach 3.5/4.0 level to enjoy both USTA game and recreational playing.
As a self employee - real estate broker, I have a very flexible schedule to enjoy this sport. In my spare time, I also like modifying automobiles in my garage, car racing, traveling with family, photography, and watching movies.
